Illamasqua Beauty School drop in with Clare Lille
I was one of the lucky beauty bloggers to attend this special event. Clare is a makeup artist that truly has her hands filled with makeup work! Clare Lille leads London’s Illamasqua beauty school drop ins and she also now trains makeup artist for sales, she works behind the scene at various fashion week and works on film makeup. Today Clare Lille wanted to show us a few new Illamasqua makeup trends.
Illamasqua Eyebrows
You know you shop at Illamasqua when you have those bold perfect statement brows. It’s a Illamasqua signature look. I personally love those eyebrows! Now to get those perfect Illamasqua eyebrows you will need either Motto (for blondes) or Thunder (for brunettes) eye brow powder that yes is of different texture than a normal eye shadow. Eyebrow powders were intended for eyebrows and have a “waxier” texture for eye brows so that the powder doesn’t just glide off. If you have very thin eyebrows Clare Lille advised during the Croatian beauty school drop in that you use their sealing gel to make the brows stick. She also gave a tip away, use Illamasqua’s concealer to define your eyebrows and as a highlighter!
Illamasqua Smokey Eyes
All right everyone that loves Smokey eyes please leave a comment below! I know you all do and it’s one of the most complex things to achieve for the common non-makeup artist person. Clare told us that the trick to the perfect Illamasqua Smokey eyes are three things, defining the top eyelid, the lower eyelid and waterline. One secret trick to the perfect smokey eyes, that she gave us, was Illamasqua’s medium pencil Sofia. Sofia is a black pencil that can be used anywhere on the face and body. The texture of the medium pencil is soft but it’s not oily so it won’t crease. To avoid spending loads of money on finding the perfect Smokey eyes palette, Illamasqua made the Neutral palette, which is perfect for Smokey eyes or a neutral day makeup, Clare claims it’s the best Illamasqua palette, she personally loves it! When it comes to the skin, your skin has to be perfect for Smokey eyes. You want healthy dewy skin so make sure to use any face cream, then Illamasqua’s satin primer. Illamasqua’s satin primer gives the skin a dewy look that goes perfectly with Illamasqua’s skin base foundation (did I mention that I love this foundation?! It’s my HQ foundation). The number one mistake that women make with their foundation is that they do not use a primer. Your foundation will not last all day and might flake if you do not use a foundation primer. If you want a perfect dewy finish use Illamasqua’s satin primer + skin base foundation! Check out Illamasqua makeup secrets at your local Illamasqua Beauty School Drop In and find out what Clare calls the “wonderbra for tired eyes” and dark bags underneath the eyes.
Illamasqua Perfect Ombre Lips & Eyebrows
Life is all about colors and ombre! Today we got ombre hair, lips, eyebrows…etc. I personally love ombre hair, lips and eyebrows. I think the ombre eyebrows are the best things that have come in the makeup industry in a very long time. I forgot to mention that on the second model Clare demonstrated a foolproof way to apply eyeliner. Clare showed us how to get Illamasqua ombre lips with Illamasqua’s medium pencil in honor & feisty + Illamasqua’s red lipstick (forgot the shade). For the Illamasqua ombre eyebrows she used Illamasqua’s sealing gel + eyebrow powder, truly the perfect ombre eyebrows!
