Sun Dance Sonnenmilch 20 (sunscreen milk spf 20)

Summer is over but the summer product reviews are just starting. You might have seen my summer makeup and beauty favorites, if you haven’t shame on you and now run along and watch it and then return here for the Sun Dance Sun Milk SPF 20 makeup review (SUNDANCE sonnenmilch 20 mittel). I decided to save a few bucks on my non-tanning summer and get a sunscreen which offered medium protection since I am never on the beach anyway or get their after 4 pm so the UV rays are weaker at that time but a sunscreen is required to prevent my beautiful milk like skin from burning. I saw this and read on one of the bottles that this is German’s TOP drugstore sunscreen brand and told myself, why not.

Sun Dance Sunscreen Milk SPF 20 makeup review

I already reviewed Alverde sunscreen that I had a love and hate relationship this summer, so check it out but for my body I used this SunDance sunscreen milk. This sunscreen is for normal skin that needs UVA/UVB protection. It’s waterproof and derma tested. It’s recommended to reapply it after you go swimming, I guess this is a some basic thing with all sunscreens, never really paid to much to the instructions but it’s somehow logical for me to reapply sunscreen after swimming or tanning for a while. It  was made in Germany, EU which means it follows the very strict EU laws so this Sun Dance sonnenmilch sunscreen milk SPF 20 is ok.

Sun Dance Sonnenmilch SPF 20 Makeup Review Pros & Cons

Now I wanted to mention in this makeup review of SunDance Sun Milk (Sonnenmilch) spf 20 that the texture of the product is very milk like or better said it’s not line sunscreen creams it’s much lighter and much easier to blend into the skin. It only takes a few rub and the milk is not visible. This Sun Milk does not leave any white cast or residue, hurray for that! There is a typical sunscreen scent, which vanishes as soon as you rub it into the skin. Sadly this product does contain Titanium dioxide (nano), which started a huge discussion online. Since my body is a bit on the dry skin side this cream did make my skin feel as if it were hydrated. The packaging is practical and easy to transport. It’s a standard sunscreen bottle that with a squeeze redistributes sun milk onto your hand or body. I didn’t notice any breakouts while using this on a daily base. I do recommend when applying all sunscreen to wait at least 5 – 10 minutes before you put on clothes.

Sun Dance Sunscreen Milk Makeup Review Conclusion, worth the buy?

To conclude this review of SunDance Sonnenmilch SPF 20, I can say that am not sure if I plan to repurchase this again. I am also not sure if this product can be used on the face. The SPF was just right and I did manage to get a nice light tan but I do not tan easy.  Overall this product was ok but I probably will not be repurchasing it because of its ingredient Titanium Dioxide (nano) that has been getting very bad press (toxic ingredient) lately and I am careful with most ingredients since I have very sensitive skin. I also found it very interesting that their face and body sunscreens contain 100% same ingredients. Makes me wonder and makes me conclude that the sunscreens for body can be used (on some skin types) on the face too.
