Besides that I am very happy that I was able to get at least one MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer. I do have to admit that the shade Kooky has pleasantly surprised me and I really didn’t expect it to be that nice of a shade. You can see the picture of the swatches on my hand below and how it looks like when I apply it onto my lips. My lips naturally are quite red and because of that all of my lip products look redder then they naturally are.

Now let me mention a few things about the MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer what their website. MUA academy claims that these MUA luxe velvet lip lacquers are long-lasting and kiss proof. The come in five very intense shades, which are very pigmented. The lacquers come in a sleek frosted glass packaging. The texture of the lacquers glides on with ease as if they were lip-gloss. They dry in seconds, and went set they get a matte velvety texture. I can confirm a few things which the website claims but I can also deny a few things and claim that it’s not really like that. So now let me point out a few very important facts for my makeup review about these MUA luxe velvet lip lacquers.

Since I wasn’t able to get all of the MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer for my makeup review I will tell you how the shade Kooky behaved and to be honest I do expect all the shades to behave in the same matter. The lacquers truly do glide on like velvety lip-gloss but it does not set in seconds but rather in a minute or two. This is however not a bad thing, this is a good thing since you get enough time to actually shape the lacquer before it sets. When the lacquer sets, it becomes long lasting and kiss-proof (demonstrated in the video). The lip lacquer pigmentation is very strong but the shades are buildable what allows you to get the intensity that you wish. The finish of the lacquers is a true matte but yet velvety like finish. When you start to eat and drink, the lip lacquers naturally start to break down from the inner rims of the lip to the outer rims. If you would lick your lips the lip lacquer would still be kiss-proof and the color would not transfer.

The MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer is extremely long lasting and kiss-proof, but the more moist your lips are the more lip lacquer would start to break down. The MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer is THE Lime Crime velvetines dupe. For only £3 you will get the same thing but for a much more affordable price that the insane and shameful price which Lime Crime is charging. The only thing I am looking forward to is that the lip lacquer will get more shades. I can confirm that the MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer are permanent so you do not have to worry if they are not in stock for the next month or so, since they are not limited edition and I am certain you will get your shade. I will update this post when I get the other MUA luxe velvet lip lacquer shades.
