Makeup review of Illamasqua Lipstick Drench with swatches. I wanted to write a review of the lipstick that I got when I was at the Croatian Fashion Week event. I was invited to the fashion week by Illamasqua and I got a goodie bag. In the goodie bag I got my makeup review product the Illamasuqa lipstick in Drench (with swatches) and now it’s time for swatches and the review. Illamasqua is a new and growning makeup brand that has an amazing creative team. The Illamasqua products that I have used from them are amazing and I have high hopes for the new product that I got. I put it to the test and here is what I managed to figure out or better gather for my makeup review of Illamasqua lipstick in drench (with swatches).

My makeup review of Illamasqua lipstick Drench, will start with the pros and then with the cons of the product. Looking at the packaging the product comes in a sleek timeless black lipstick tub and it has illamasquas logo on the top of the tub packaging. The other thing about the makeup review of illamasqua lipstick Drench packaging is that the tube has a glossy effect what I personally love. It’s easy to clean and keep clean. The packaging isn’t loud but rather a combination of minimalism and simplicity. The lipstick functions as any other lipstick, twist. I personally love the simplicity behind the design of the packaging. So that is that when it comes to the packaging part of the makeup review of Illamasqua lipstick in drench.

Illamasqua lipstick drench makeup review,pros are that everything that I have used from Illamasqua has this gentle and very pleasant smell, even the lipstick. The powders have a very soft floral and powder smell that is so pleasant that I wish it were a perfume to be honest. The lipstick also has a similar smell. The texture of the lipstick is soft that it is easy to manipulate, control and apply on the lips. Another thing in this makeup review of illamasqua lipstick drench, is that the lipstick is very pigmented and I can compare it wish the Graftobian HD lipsticks. Drench, unlike the Graftobian lipsticks, last a very long time on the lips even without using a lip liner. I usually apply either Illamasqua’s lip liners or NYX’s, and when I used Drench over it, I ate and drunk that night, the lipstick did wear a bit but not even as close as other lipsticks. This completes the pros and cons of the makeup review of Illamasqua lipstick in Drench.

To complete the makeup review, I wanted to conclude that I really liked the lipstick but this is no surprise to me, while I attended my makeup course at Illamasqua we used numerous lipsticks and some where better than others. Drench is a very nice matte like raspberry red lipstick shade that will suit the majority of skin shades. It’s a red shade that you can wear to work. The lipstick, as I wrote above, will wear when drinking and eating (evenly) but let’s say you don’t eat and drink for some reason, the lipstick can last all day without reapplying or a lip sealer.  I will write it again, it’s the perfect subtle red lipstick.
