EM Michelle Phan Makeup & Website Review
Michelle Phan Just launched her very own makeup line EM Michelle Phan, beauty news of the year if you please!! I am very excited about this since it looks like a lot of effort and time was invested in the makeup line. In her introduction video, which was made as, draw your life video (which I skipped making since I was not really ready to draw my life yet) she talks a little about her makeup history on youtube and how Cara Hamilton president of L’oreal Luxe helped to Michelle Phan make her EM makeup line. Michelle always wanted to create her own makeup line and this was a dream come true. Michelle Even had a dream about her eye shadow palette called the life palette.

Michelle Phan continues in the video showing where she travelled to various places around the world and even worked with students in three art schools in the US. They hosted design challenges where they had to create Michelle Phan’s packaging within 48 hours. She was inspired to create EM Michelle Phan by her followers and their questions and feedback on makeup. Overall the video was very inspiring and very much like the new Michelle Phan on youtube. I really loved the video since it was very personalized and showed loved and appreciation for her followers. I personally am very happy for Michelle’s new makeup line, because she was the original person that inspired me to follow my dreams and to make Halloween tutorials.

Now, concerning her EM Michelle Phan makeup website here are my two cents. The Website is extremely well made, I haven’t seen this smart of a makeup website ever. I love how it is easy to use and easy to find things. I love how it has tutorials, but not her youtube tutorial but rather new ones specifically made for the website. The Tutorials will 100% help you choose the products that you need for a specific look. I love the mixing palette and I personally love the life palette. Michelle Phan and her team made “The Sisterhood”. The sisterhood is a community for beauty junkies. This is a place where you can see what people are buying, see the latest beauty trends, get straight advice from Michelle and more. When Signing up for the sisterhood, you can connect to your Facebook. I after that edited my profile and was kind of annoyed that when I wanted to change my avatar I had to re-enter my e-mail address, name and password twice. Downside when it comes the address part only USA is accepted what means for now they are focused on the US market. Within your profile you get a message from Michelle and the option to see “people like me”, invite friends, reviews & favs and you can upload your looks (I assume you made with EM Michelle Phan Cosmetics.

You also have “get the look” option where she shows you what products and how to achieve various looks such as: at the concert, date night, girl’s night out …etc. In short EM Michelle Phan online is a place not only where you can buy makeup but where you can learn how to use the makeup, make new friends, write reviews, and build a makeup community. Now looking at the price of the makeup, it’s not cheap. The life palette, which is a big palette, costs $75, the lip color mixing palette is $28 an individual lipstick is $16,50, her CC cream is $30. I personally want to try all of her face products. The good thing is that when looking at a product, which you are interested in, you can see details and ingredients and even swatches of all the EM Michelle Phan makeup products. There are even 42 reviews about the CC cream. I am certain that some people were sent PR samples to test and write reviews on the website.
Is EM Michelle Phan Makeup worth is?
Overall EM Michelle Phan Makeup looks very promising and looks like we are dealing with a HQ makeup line. I have yet to test a few makeup products if PR samples were to somehow appear in my hands. Based on the prices of the products, EM Michelle Phan makeup should be a HQ makeup line and I hope that it lives up to my personal expectations. Since in the past, I have experienced a brand charging $16 (Shamelessly) for lipsticks that I personally thought were horrible and way over prices. The lipstick stained my lips and was extremely bad quality, when comparing it to monster makeup brands such as MAC, Kryolan and other well established brands.

Iznervirana sam citavom ovom njenom pricom “vi ste meni pruzili slavu ja vam kao poklon dajem ovo,…ja ne bi bila tu gdje sam da nije vas…”bla,bla,bla!!! What a bunch of c*ap! Nju su u zvijezde digle osobe koje bas i nemaju nekih para,osobe koje su trazile jeftine trikove za dobar izgled,otkud joj pravo da prica kako je ovo njen poklon takvim ljudima..iz revolta nikad ni za zivu glavu ne bih kupila ni jedan njen proizvod,ma ne pada mi na pamet. Sram je bilo!

Iskreno ona je danas tko je zbog mnogih razloga (ne isključivo zbog video tutorijala niti svojih gledatelja). Ali istina je da je vrlo inovativna, i da je ipak ona započela cijelu makeup tutorijal famu na youtube i nakon njenog uspijeha svi su je počeli kopirati. Smatram da nije njenih gledatelja danas nema šance da bi bila gdje je jer pak moraš imati ljude koji gledaju to što stvaraš inače sve je to uzalud ili samo hobi. Iza sebe sigurno ima veliki team koji ju je danas pretvorio u mega “zvijezdu” i iskreno po meni je žena postigla svoje snove. Znam da od prvog dana je govorila da joj je san da jedan dan izbaci svoj vlastiti makeup. Tako da ja o njoj imam totalno drugačije mišljenje i o njenom uspijehu jer ju doslovno pratim od prvog dana i znam kroz sve što je prošla. Tako da iskreno ja ću sigurno kupovati njen makeup samo da ga probam i da pokažem moju podršku mladoj osobi koja se bori da ostvari svoje snove. Jer ipak da nije nje, danas nebih imala svoj blog niti svoje youtube kanal niti se bavila profesionalno makeup-om; ipak me ona inspirirala da zamjenim slikarski kist za makeup kist.

Im disappointed about the prices knowing that she just started her line, its not affordable specially for the students. i myself can buy the palette bt how about the others? UD gives freebies with $50 worth of purchase! and i trust UD more than her new line-ofcourse!

I expect the quality to justify the price and I think she and whoever else invested in the EM makeup line is planning to build a HQ makeup line that won’t just be another like “Kardashian makeup line” just here to collect some cash. So I see this EM makeup line as a new company that has yet to become something like UD to be honest. I hope it does live up to my expectations. We shall see. I am for a strange reason very optimistic about her makeup like.

Sumnjam da ce kvalitet pokazati kao los, ali pakovanje mi izgleda dosta jeftino. Jos i ovo mesanje kremastih proizvoda i onih praskastih…Sve ce to biti jedan veliki nered.

Vidiš nisam o tomu razmišljala uopće, možda nered pri mješanju kremastih i puderastih proizvoda tj. vrlo moguće. No pakovanje meni se jako sviđa jer je minimalizam, ali na kraju dana kvaliteta je najbitnije (kao što ti i ja tvrdimo) jer ipak je ruž $16 što je po meni stravično skupo za američko tržiste jer MAC-ov ruža je $15. Pa tako da se nadam da će kvaliteta opravdati cijene.
