This week in Croatia Zagreb, one of the top three fashion weeks were held. This week it was the Dove Fashion.hr Week for Spring/Summer 2013 fashion collection. I was invited to this fashion week by the one and only Illamasqua. Being in Zagreb at the moment, I decided to attend a fashion show and see what Croatian fashion designers have done and what is more important for me personally, to see what the “Illamasqua runway makeup” looks like!

Dove Fashion.hr Week Spring / Summer 2013

I was invited to a special fashion show from Branke Donassy, an establishes and well known Croatian fashion designer. The whole makeup of Dove Fashion.hr week was lead by the Illamasqua! What an honor! This is their first appearance on the Croatian fashion scene as the main “makeup leaders” (can I call it like that?) for a fashion week in Croatia. Sadly during this event, my camera was in the shop and I was not able to get any professional pictures, but I did take many with my phone!  So in short, I will tell you how the event went!

The whole Dove Fashion.hr week was held in an old factory called: Gredelj. It gave it a kind of rustic feeling, I liked it, my shoes didn’t but I did! The entrance had this beautiful big panoramic billboard, that was quit impressive! The interior, sadly no picture was taken, was simple and clean it had that whole factory feeling to it, what I personally liked! I was lucky to have attended this event with my friend Qitae, international costume designer who will be be launching a line of high end lingerie. I love this girl and can’t wait for the launch of her lingerie line. Me and my friend Qitae, got there earlier so that I could get better seats to see the makeup and fashion of course. We grabbed a few drinks at the bar and sat in the “cafe” corner and chit chatted until the show was scheduled. There were two main catwalks at the event, the main larger one, as I called it and a side one with a smaller more intimate feeling to it.

When the time was right me and my friend Qitae, went to our seats for the Branka Donassy Spring/Summer 2013 show, what I liked was that it was organized very well and professional. We even had a lovely hostess escort us to our seats. I personally loved this. I know that most of you might not find this meaningful but to be honest, it is a small gesture with a big meaning. It was dark and I like to know where my seat is, I do not want to take away someones seat just because I arrived earlier. We were seated in the front row as special guests of Illamasqua, what personally warmed my heart! If I saw correctly everyone that attended this intimate fashion show from Illamasqua & Branka Donassy Spring/Summer 2013 got a very nice goodie bag from Illamasqua.

Now since we know that the Dove Fashion.hr week was organized with class and a very professional approach, lets look at what you could have seen on the runway! The makeup for Branka Donassy‘s show was done by Illamasqua’s makeup team. The head makeup artist was Ivana Bilandžija Billy in company with other leading makeup artist that work at Illamasqua. The makeup for Branka Donassy was created by Ivana Bilandžija Billy in consultancy with Branka Donassy. I must admit that the makeup suited the whole fashion collection. I personally love the sharp lines, pail skin and dark lips.

1. Eyes: liquid metal combined with pink and brown pigments
2. Lips: Darker lipstick shade
3. Eye Brows: Eye Brow Cake
4. Face: Rich liquid

I am not sure if blush was used since the lights were pretty strong on the runway, it was hard to see, even in the front row. I like how the lips are rounded on top instead of sharp, it evens out the whole makeup look and sharp lines that were present on the Branka Donassy spring/summer 2013 fashion collection. Branka Donassy’s Spring/Summer 2013 fashion collection

Now back to Branka Donassy’s Spring/Summer 2013 fashion collection. Since I am not a fashion blogger I will keep this quit simple. I do love fashion, since I grow up with a fashion designer, my mother no she was never famous but she is very into fashion and did finish school for a fashion designer, but sadly never ending up working in that field of work. I think that is where I got my creative roots since everyone in her family is very creative and artistic.

What to expect from Branka Donassy’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection? I liked it to be honest, of course not everything was to my liking, what is expected of course, but most of it I liked. Why? Well the whole line has very clean & simple lines what is easy to wear on a daily base, work or special events. The new Spring/Summer 2012 collection has a touch of futurism to it. There were a few dresses which I found to have a timeless design and could with ease be worn to special events. The whole fashion line was exquisite and will sure be liked by many. Excuse the lack of “fashion vocab”! Any hoot here are a few shoots from the runway.
