This Coastal scents Creative Me #1 eye shadow palette has been on my wish list for a very long time. After seeing a few makeup artists play around with it, I said hello and got it as a PR sample. I have been using this palette for a while now and in many of my Halloween tutorials. I have wanting to write up a makeup review for this product for a while not but September is not turning out as planned. I have been having such a busy month with makeup work that I never saw it coming.

The Coastal Scents claims that the creative me #1 eye shadow palette contains 12 eye shadows, which come in a matte black case with a mirror. The eyeshadows are very vivid and matte which allows you to use these eye shadows for all occasions. If you want a deeper and more pigmented effect apply them wet. The colors in the pallete are light yellow, bright yellow, light tangerine, bright tangerine, neon red, neon bright pink, deep grape, magenta, indigo, electric blue, teal green and shamrock green. The original price is $14,95 but can be caught on sale for a cheaper deal, usually during holidays, oh yeah.

I have to admit I was very skeptic about how pigmented these babies were. The swatches that you can see above are swatches dry. That is the pigmentation! The pigmentation dry is amazing and even the red, pink and purple eye shadow do stain the skin lightly. I have another matte eye shadow palette, the 120 matte eye shadow palette that is amazing too, but comparing it to these eye shadows, these are more pigmented. I am so blown away with the pigmentation that I am certain I will be using them for a long time in my makeup videos.

I think that for the price of the product this is a steal! I am not sure if I would recommend this for a pro kit since I am afraid some of the ingredient in the eye shadows might cause flash back and change the pigmentation level after flash is used, but I am certain that for personal use or even beginner MUAs that need practice with color this is a must have palette. The best thing about this palette is that you can take out the eye shadows and later on you are left with a magnetized eye shadow palette. The eye shadow slots fits my Makeup Geek eyeshadows and MAC eye shadows.
