This is one of the PR products which I got from Dr. Hauschka. You can read my previous review of Dr. Hauschka bain rose nourishing bath essence. If you have been following me since day one, then you know I have a thing about a thing or two. One of those things is my eye creams and skin care. I avoid using to much and I try to keep it skin friendly and hydrating but not to much so my skin won’t breakout. Today I am doing a makeup review Dr. Hauschka eye balm. The eye balm is intended to soothe, nurture and protect the eyes from all conditions. Based on the company, they claim it supports elasticity, minimises fine lines and wrinkles while moisturizing and firming the around eye area.

The thing with eye balms is that it does remind most people of lip balms, and to be honest i do believe you could use it as a lip balm without a problem. This eye balm comes in a small container which holds 10 ml of product. The color and texture of the eye balm is yellow and under fingers it feels similar to a waxy like lip balm. The problem with this packaging is that you do not get a mini spatula (or atleast I didn’t get one). You do need some small spatula to get the product out. Currently I am using the front of my fingernails to take out some product. The product has a very light scent of roses and honey, yummy right. Now let’s talk about the results of Dr. Hauschka eye balm.

Dr. Hauschka eye balm makeup review

i wanted to mention that there is a certain way to apply the product. First you want to scoop out a small pea size of product from the container and place it on the back of your hand. With your finger, pat it a bit so that it warms up. After that apply a thin layer around the eyes without dragging the skin, similar motion like applying concealer. It’s recommended to use especially during winter and if you during hay fever season. Dr. Hauschka eye balm makeup review isn’t complete without mentioning how it reacted on my skin. To sum it up, unlike the previous SkinFood rich avocado eye balm which i tried, this one is absorbed by my skin and does not just sit on the top of the skin. I feel that my around eye area is hydrated and get some light protection. I usually apply this in the morning after my workout and at the end of the day after I take off my makeup since my skin then need additional hydration.

i did noticed that after using this Dr. Hauschka eye balm, for around 3 weeks my skin was very well hydrated, it felt protected and I felt that my skin was well “feed”. I love that the ingredient contains carrot, jojoba oil, apricot kernel oil, beeswax which are amazing ingredient for hydration and nourishment of the skin. Another downside of this product is the price. $51,95 is a lot of money for an eye balm, but this being one of the better eye balms and eye care products I have used, I cannot complain. I have used other high- end brands which didn’t deliver what they promised; while Dr. Hauschka did deliver what it promised. I recommend you try it.
