Today’s article is about my Top Summer Moisturisers with SPF. Each summer we are required to think about what we are putting on our skin. Since our face is very exposed to the sun we need to not only protect it but also give it some additional hydration so that the suns unbearable heat doesn’t suck out all the hydration from out skin. The products below will vary for all skin types and maybe you will find your next product that yoru skin type. And now about the Top Summer Moisturisers with SPF in no particular order. 

Top Summer Moisturisers with SPF

Philosophy Hope Oil-Free SPF 30 Moisturizer, $38

Philosophy Hope Oil Free Moisturizer, is an oil-free, lightweight daytime moisturizer. If you have dry skin than this might be the product for you! The moisturizer contains a broad-spectrum of sun protection and multiple antioxidants to hydrate and protect the skin. The texture is creamy and is very similar to sunscreen but a bit lighter. Unlike some sunscreens, this moisturizer has a matte finish, while hydrating it, and it looks great under makeup. Philosophy Hope in a Jar moisturizer is easy to apply, absorbs quickly and contains a slight faint odor, which dissipates quickly. This is an excellent product for dry, normal and even combination skin.

Boscia Oil-free Daily Hydration spf 15 moisturizer, $36

Boscia Oil-Free Daily Hydration SPF 15 Moisturizer is a daytime moisturizer, which means that it’s lightweight and ideal for under your makeup wear. Besides have a lightweight texture the texture is also a bit runny which helps it absorb quickly into the skin. It does not have any typically sunscreen odor, but it does have an odd odor of mushrooms that does fade. Since the formula is oil-free which is intended for combination to oily skin. This product is at the end of the day a bit better for normal skin since for combo/oily skin it doesn’t control oils after 3 – 4 hours.

Peter Thomas Roth Max Sheer All Day Moisture Defense Lotion spf 30, $42

Peter Thomas Roth Max Sheer All Day Moisture Defense Lotion is oil-free and fragrance-free. It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly and well into the skin. The lotion contains anti-aging ingredients, what is a big plus for aging skin. The lotion is a 2 in 1 lotion, which can be used as a sunscreen and a lotion. The texture is lightweight and similar to a mousse like consistency. It controls oils quite well. The lotion after application is a bit sticky so if you are going to apply a powder over it I advice you apply a primer or foundation first then your powder.

CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM SPF 30, $13

CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM, helps repair and protect your skin and is non-comedogenic and non-irritating. It’s SPF 30 sunscreen provides a broad-spectrum for daily protection against UV rays. It helps repair damaged skin and restore and maintain the skin’s natural barrier. It also helps the skin with ceramides and fatty acids ingredient that essential for repairing and restoring the skin’s barrier. In short, if you need a power bomb of hydration then this is it! It contains: ceramides, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid while offering a high SPF 30. Due to all of this the texture of the product is a bit thick and it does take a minute or two to rub into the skin. The lotion is fragrance-free but it does have a light scent of sunscreen scent that does disappear quite fast. There is no noticeable white cast on the skin after the product has been absorbed.

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Day Creme SPF 15, $95

Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Day Creme helps moisturize the skin while controlling the oils on your skin, even your T-zone. The texture of cream is thick and the skin absorbs it in quite fast. The cream contains Argan oil that helps solve dry skin issues. You only need a small amount to cover your entire face. It also contains antioxidant green tea for additional care and protection. It doesn’t leave a white cast after it has been absorbed into the skin. The fragrance of the cream is very mild and disappears quite fast.

VMV Hypoallergenics Creammmy-Rich Intensive Moisture Milk SPF 15, $27

The VMV Hypoallergenics creammmy-rich intensive moisture milk is intended for dry skin and skin that is easy easily irritated by chemical sunblocks, dye or perfumes. The moisturizer hydrates the skin, contains collagen, SPF 15, does not add shine, does not clog the pores and fights acne. It contains virgin coconut oil and glycerin. The moisturizer is absorbs quickly into the skin and uses titanium dioxide for sunscreen purposes. I would recommend this for combination to oily and acne prone skin.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios SX Daily Moisturizing Cream SPF 15, $34

La Roche-Posay Anthelios SX Daily Moisturizing Cream is intended not only for your face but also for your body. The creamy texture of the moisturizer is not greasy but hydrates the skin with dimethicone and glycerin and protects it from the sun using a Mexoryl SX, avobenzone and octocrylene as sunscreen. The moisturizer is fragrance free and does not cause irritation. It does not case break out and also comes in a higher SPF 60. There is no white residue after the moisturiser has been absorbed into the skin.
