Natural Make Up
If you’re keen to get that natural, make up free look, but aren’t brave enough to actually bare all, then there is a solution. With some care, make up can be applied in a way which will give you that fresh-faced glow, without looking like you are wearing any cosmetics at all. Here are a few tips on how to do so…
The first step is to choose a base which matches your skin tone accurate – this can be key in achieving a natural look. The great think about natural make up is that it will shift the focus of your appearance elsewhere – so if you’ve just splashed out on a haircut from somewhere like RushLondon or treated yourself to a gorgeous new dress, then this can be the best way to showcase this. However, it is absolutely vital that your foundation is the right colour, and often it is easier to simply wear a slight power to keep your make up looking fresh all day long, rather than opting for a heavy base.
Use a concealer to cover any imperfections and blemishes, as well as to cover dark shadows which may appear under the eyes. Again, you will want to make sure that this is a good colour match. If you suffer from redness, then opt for a green-tinted concealer to neutralise the colour, rather than a heavy layer of make up.
For a really fresh and natural look, skip the eyeliner and opt for a brown (rather than black) mascara. You’ll also want to make sure that your mascara is clump-free, as this is a clear give-away that you’re wearing make up. Avoid lipsticks and instead wear tinted balm, and swap your bronzer for a light blush to complete your natural look.
