I will never regret for buying the NYX Cosmetics Eyebrow Gels. I’m doing a NYX eyebrow gel review in shades blonde, chocolate and espresso. I will be swatching all the shades and then in the video you will see how I am currently applying them to outline my eyebrows. After reading about these new NYX brow gels on Facebook in MUA groups and reading a few very good reviews online, especially one where NYX eyebrow gel is compared to Anastasia Beverly Hills and MUFE aqua brows, I was certain that this was the real deal and better than the two. So I bought three shades and decided that it was time to review them.

Before these NYX brow gels, I was using my Sigma Beauty brow pencils, brow gel and brow powder duo. I am and still am very happy with those products but if you are looking for something which is long lasting, smudge proof and waterproof then you should look into NYX brow gels. I always have clients that have eyebrows, which are spars and I need something that will not budge on their skin no matter how oily it is. These NYX Cosmetics eyebrow gels claim to keep your eyebrows in place, are lightweight, waterproof, smudge-proof and long lasting. It comes in five shades and all you need is an angled brush to fill in any sparse areas.

I have oily skin and I usually touch my eyebrows so when I go out to paint the town red, I need something that will not smudge and move but I will tolerate fading of the eyebrows. I applied the eyebrow gel on as soon as I got it in the mail. I applied a thin coat of the shade blonde just to fill in my eyebrows so that they look naturally sporty bushy, so that they aren’t super defined. I applied them at 10 am and took them off at 8 pm, total of 10 hours. The NYX eyebrow gel faded a bit what was expected since I used a light coat, I am certain that if I used a normal amount it wouldn’t fade. The texture is in between gel and liquid. I apply a bit on the back of my hand (and mix a few shades) and then apply it with an angled brush. You need to practice this to avoid getting unnatural thick eyebrows, practice make perfect.

I love that the NYX brow gel comes in a squeeze tube; blonde shade is a bit more watery than chocolate and espresso. This gel truly is what it claims, waterproof, smudgeproof and long lasting. I do recommend that you work fast with these gels since they dry quite fast and when they dry, they set. I wore it for 10 hours and I live in a relatively humid city and I have oily skin. I need a waterproof makeup remover to remove these eyebrows. They are cruelty free, they come in a recyclable tube and you get a product that is better than ABH brow gel.
