Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette swatches review

Coastal Scents Revealed Palette Swatches Review

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette swatches and makeup review was suppose to happen at the beginning of August. I got this package with a few PR samples from the PR at Coastal Scents right before I left out of town for 3 weeks of work, so I wasn’t able to test it until I came back. When I came back I went on a one week overdue vacation and then started to work, my schedule was super busy. I sat down today and decided to do a proper review so that you can see what you get in this palette. So, let me first tell you what the company claims and after that a summary of my impression of the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette.

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette

On Coastal Scent, you can get the Revealed 2 palette for only $12,97 (current price). The palette contains 20 eye shadow shades and it comes in one small sleek and thin palette. Revealed 2 was influenced by their first original top seller palette “Revealed”. This palette contains a mix of pink, rose gold, cranberry, taupe shades that come in mattes and shimmer finish, so that you can mix and match them to get day to night looks. The best thing about this palette is that the top lighter shades are compared to the new Urban Decay 3 palette. So now, let me give you feedback on how I experienced this palette.

The texture of the eye shadows are soft, I mean very soft that some shades “crumble” on touch, which reminds me of my Wet N Wild 8 eyeshadow palettes. This issue I had only with a few of the eye shadow shades (like maybe 4). What I like is that the shimmer shades actually go on frostier what gives a “foiling” effect you get with loose pigments. I do recommend that for wear time and to get the most out of the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 eye shadows, you use any eye shadow primer. The eye shadows quality is comparable to E.L.F. eye shadows. I find that when you pat on the eye shadows, the pigmentation is very strong, but when blending the eye shadows kind of fade a bit, so I do recommend layering the eye shadows when blending. I’m quite pleasantly surprised of how well pigmented the lighter shades are and that they are not chalky.

Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette swatches and makeup review

Overall this Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette, is a very good palette for personal use and for people on a budget. If you buy eye shadows from drugstore brands then you will like the quality of these eye shadows. I will not be buying the Urban Decay Palette 3, so this palette will come in handy for a few makeup tutorials that I will be doing soon. Overall, it’s a good buy due to the price, the decent pigmentation and dupe colors of the Urban Decay palette. The only down side is the fading when blending. So the colors are similar to Urban Decay, but the pigmentation, blending power and overall experience Urban Decay is better but also much more expensive. With this palette you do get two palette for the price of one. So, if on a budget, get this. This is good for personal use. I will also be reviewing the Coastal Scents empty eyeshadow palettes, which you might have seen, in my previous videos.

Those look PRETTY!! I actually did a comparison post of my UD vs the original revealed a while back and there were so many combinations where you absolutely CANNOT tell the difference between the two and the wear time was actually better with the CS! I do like when there are budget versions of high end brand products with not a huge difference in quality! thnx for the review!
