Biotherm biosource self-foaming cleansing water review

Summer is here and I wanted to share one of the new products, which I am using in my update skincare routine. In May, I was sent a PR sample and really was excited about testing it out. Usually with these PR samples I get products, which I continue to buy such as La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+. Today I am showing you a new cleansing gel, which I use to wash my face on a daily base. This new product is amazing and I wanted to share it with you after I used it for a few weeks. So today I am writing a review on Biotherm biosource self-foaming cleansing water.

The company claim is that the Biotherm biosource self-foaming cleansing water purifies and perfectly cleanses the skin. The foam is a light texture, which turns into a smooth and delicate cream that gently cleanses even sensitive skin. The formula is soap-free to avoid any skin dryness and help soften the skin. The formula contains thermal plankton cellular water, like the Biotherm Aquasource CC gel. On the bottle it also claims that it instantly brightens your skin. This product does not contain parabens and the water in the bottle, when you press the pump, comes out in a very feather like foam. It is recommended to avoid the eye area.

After testing the Biotherm biosource self-foaming cleansing water for my review for 1 month, I am half way through the bottle. You will need around 1 – 2 pumps to wash your entire face. What I liked was the scent, I cannot pinpoint the scent but personally it reminds for of the sea and water lilies, which does fade with time. The foam is so light, a very thin consistency, and when applied on the face it really does give your face a nice smoother texture and it feels a bit tight.  I love the fact that it’s soap free since I avoid soap. This self-foaming cleansing water will not remove any of your eye makeup or waterproof makeup. You will have to remove it prior to this with a micellar water or an eye makeup remover. The product does contain SLS (sodium Laurethe Sulfate) some people with more serious forms of acne (such as cystic acne) or sulfate sensitivity, could breakout due to this product.

Also to note, contrary to popular rumors, SLS based on American Cancer society does not cause cancer. I would conclude that people with easily break out in acne or are sensitive to any forms of sulfate, might have to skip this one. For me personally, I didn’t have any noticeable breakouts when I used this product and I do struggle with acne from time to time.
